   Hi, everyone who knows me, or knows someone who knows me, or knows someone who knows someone... 

 

           My name is Allan Mayer and I am attempting to get my novel, 'Tasting the Wind,' noticed, and eventually published, by reading samples of it on YouTube. Help me to do that, and you could become part of a publishing phenomenon, and at the same time help a children's hospice, (a proportion of any profits will be donated to Derian House.)

 

    Thanks to all of you who forwarded my e-mail to people in your contacts lists, and to all of those people who listened to my readings on YouTube. One of my videos got 100 viewings in the first week!  Hope you are enjoying it.

 

 

                               NOW IT STARTS TO GET EXCITING...

 

      I am aiming to get at least one of  my videos to the number 1 spot on YouTube.

               

         Impossible! You might say.

 

                Well it is possible, 

          if you look at the evidence:

 

        

 The most viewed video (over 7 million hits!)  for April 2008 was Rick Astley's Never Gonna Give You Up!

Yes- you guessed it, that was an April Fool's joke from the                     YouTube team.

 

 

              The highest monthly viewing to date (6th April) was a speech by Barack Obama, which attracted 3,143 viewers within one day. http://youtube.com/profile?user=BarackObamadotcom.

 

     The highest number of viewers for an Obama speech is 341, 332 for a video posted one year ago.

                                                                            

                 

                         WE CAN BEAT THAT

 

 

   I just need you to do the following things for me:

 

 

  1) Listen to and hopefully enjoy the talking book sections on my YouTube Channel  http://www.youtube.com/ralphmuppet     

 

  2) Leave your comments on the channel- the more comments the more chapters (or less!) I am likely to add

 

  3) Subscribe to the channel, so that you will be notified as new chapters are added

 

                                                             

                     4) MOST IMPORTANTLY- 

 

Forward this e-mail to at least ten of your friends. If you don't have ten friends, send it to ten people you don't like! When you receive it, send it on to ten more people....

 

                       (Even if 'Tasting the Wind' isn't you cup of tea- someone you know might like it.)

 

 

This is how it works-

                                    I send it to ten people (I've sent it to more, but I'm using ten because it's easy for someone with my level of ability in maths!) You send send it to ten, which means that 100 more people receive it, (Which was achieved within the first week of this experiment!) If you are one of the 100, you send it to ten, and that's 1000. They send it on and... very soon we are soon into the millions. And each time you will know that this isn't some dodgy scam, because it comes to you from a friend, or the friend of a friend, or...

  

                  But it will only work if you send it.
